Welcome to the Center for Sustainability!

The Center for Sustainability promotes and facilitates research and other learning opportunities that address environmental improvement, economic prosperity, and social responsibility. The Center helps develop interdisciplinary research teams, supports student research projects, sponsors service learning courses, coordinates a campus-wide network of sustainability ambassadors, and promotes sustainable practices at KU.

The Environmentally Friendly Work Environment
The KU Sustainability Ambassador network has developed 2 new "green guides" to help faculty and staff add a little more green to the work place. Sustainability Works walks you through a typical day at the office and provides tips for lightening your impact along the way, while The Sustainable Office takes a look at general operations. Both offer the opportunity to set goals and work towards a more sustainable future for your campus department.
Support Sustainability
In addition to the efforts of our staff, CFS relies on the incredible support of faculty, staff, and students who donate their time and services to making the University of Kansas a more sustainable institution. Your contribution to CFS helps us carry our mission further through education, research, and service opportunities, and through the implementation of green initiatives. Donate Now!
