Traveling Suitcases
The Center of Latin American Studies offers traveling suitcases to educators throughout the US. Each suitcase includes a collection of musical instruments, compact discs, videos, books, curriculum guides, maps, country-specific information, and sample lesson plans for a given country, region, or topic. Suitcases can be used as learning tools or for displays during international fairs. New suitcases are always under development. The following are currenlty available to educators:

2. Music and Dance of Cuba and the Caribbean
3. Music and Culture of Central America
4. The Music of Brazil
5. The Mayan Peoples of Guatemala
6. Argentinean culture
7. Mexican Music and Culture
8. Argentina

Suitcases may be borrowed for a period of two weeks, which includes the time required for shipping. The Center of Latin American Studies will cover all shipping costs. Suitcases are sent via FedEx. To request one, please review the instructions and fill out a material request form. New users must fill out a user agreement form. Other borrowers should be sure that information submitted previously is up-to-date. All information should be sent to the center.
