Elaine B. Sharp, Professor & Chair
The Department of Political Science offers degrees for undergraduate (B.A., B.G.S.)
and graduate (M.A., Ph.D.) students. If you have questions about our graduate or
undergraduate programs, we invite you to contact us. Our Graduate Director
is Associate Professor Juliet Kaarbo and our Undergraduate Director is Associate Professor Fiona Yap.
Our course offerings are grouped according to subfields which represent our
discipline: American Politics,
Comparative Politics,
International Relations,
Public Policy, and Political
Theory. People who are interested in joining our department are invited to peruse our faculty and graduate student

Recent Announcements
Acclaimed scholar named Sir Robert Worcester Distinguished Professor

Robert Rohrschneider, an internationally renowned scholar with special expertise in the European Union, has been appointed the first Sir Robert Worcester Distinguished Professor in Public Opinion and Survey Research at the University of Kansas. The distinguished professorship was established through a gift of $2 million to KU Endowment by top British political commentator and survey research pioneer Sir Robert Worcester.
