Applying for KU international undergraduate admission is easy. International
applicants may be admitted to the university if they have completed secondary
education, fulfilled the minimum grade point equivalency, provided required
official academic records, met the appropriate deadlines, and verified
financial support for one academic year.
Before You Apply
note:
You may also view the PDF version of Admissions Requirements and Deadlines here. The requirements both depend upon the program of study you choose, your level of education and the semester you plan to begin. If you cannot decide which course of study you prefer, we suggest you apply to the KU College of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Later you can choose a major or you can transfer to another KU academic division or professional school.
How To Apply
Students may apply as degree seeking or in special cases as non-degree seeking using the same application form. See "Item 2. Enrollment Information"
of the online application or items 26 & 27 on the PDF application.
Apply for on campus housing. This requires a separate application and fee, which must be made through the KU Housing Department. Apply for university housing early because space may be limited.
Prepare For Arrival
After you are admitted, the ISSS Office will mail you the necessary immigration
document to get your visa and send materials to help you prepare for your
travels to the US. You may also look at the pre-arrival information online.
