Cultural Programs


International Student and Scholar Services (ISSS) coordinates a variety of programs and works closely with some community-based programs. Detailed information and applications for any of the below programs can be obtained in ISSS office, Room 2 Strong Hall. A variety of programs and workshops, such as off-campus employment,job search techniques, immigration basics, and tax assistance, are offered throughout the year to provide information about topics that are relevant to international students.

    Performers Service

    Similar to the Speakers Service, this program provides students an opportunity to demonstrate a craft, skill or talent representative of their culture. Examples include dancing, singing, playing a musical instrument and calligraphy. This program appeals to participants who would like to share something about their culture, but who do not feel at ease speaking in a formal situation.
