Welcome to the HVC2 project

HVC2 retreats

Final retreat - June 2, 2004, 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. - Kansas Union.

All committee sponsors, leads, consultants, facilitators, and committee members were invited to participate in a day long retreat to wrap-up the semester long HVC2 project.

Goals:

  • Learn about the many services and service models recommended by the five HVC2 groups.
  • Provide input and suggestions for the Information Services online catalog of services.
  • Explore the "next steps" needed towards implementation of the developed service model.
  • Hear ECAR's observations of the HVC2 project.

Project lead responsibilities:

  1. The project leads presented their group reports, remembering to include information about the process used to gather information and develop the model for services or lists of needed services.
  2. During the afternoon sessions, each of the groups worked for approximately 2.5 hours in order to develop 'next steps' towards implementing the various services or service model identified in the group reports. The group's facilitators led the group members through this discovery process.
  3. Provide both a paper copy and online location of the report.
  4. Send a copy of the final report to any non-KU consultant who worked with the group.

Consultants' responsibilities:

Richard Katz
  1. Observed the work groups during the afternoon facilitated sessions.
  2. Presented observations and suggestions on the HVC2 process as well as a critique of other university's Information Service's initiatives.
